Stir the QimiQ Sauce Base into the sauce or soup and heat. That is all that is required. Further reduction is not necessary. The starch is already activated, which means it can also be used in cold applications.
QimiQ Sauce Base can be stored ambiently and unopened for up to 12 months. Once opened, QimiQ Sauce Base should be stored in the refrigerator and used within 3-4 days.
QimiQ Sauce Base consists of 97% half cream (16% fat) and native starch. The starch is a high quality, neutral tasting, “clean label” (waxy maize and tapioca) starch. Unlike modified starch, it is 100% natural and gluten free.
